No time to stitch :o(

I haven't managed to get any stitching time in for a whole week & I'm feeling tense about it! We're already over half way through February & I'm no closer to finishing anything at all. I'm off for the next 3 days so I really want to get a few hours in. I haven't been able to do anything more on Mabel as Andy's been around, it being half term this week. He's gone into school to work on some reports today though & hopefully will tomorrow too so I can do some then. ;o) The good news is that my Stargazer chart arrived on Tuesday & looks beautiful so I will be perusing my fabric box to see if I can find something good to put her on.

Tomorrow it's haircut day! Yay!! I have rather thick, curly hair which tends to do what it wants to. It never really looks that much different unless my niece (an excellent hairdresser) straightens it for me & then it looks dramatically different indeed. I can make it sort of... less curly when I try & straighten it, but can't do as good a job as my niece. Anyway, she's cutting my hair tomorrow evening & as I haven't had it done since last June it's well overdue! I only get it cut around twice a year as it doesn't need any more than that. It's now getting on my nerves somewhat though so definitely needs attention!

I also have some baking to see to tomorrow or maybe Saturday. My other niece is holding a family get-together on Saturday evening so we can see the video of her & her husband's trip to Pakistan at Christmas. Her husband has family there & they were invited to a wedding which was quite exciting by all accounts & lasted for around 3 days! It'll be great to see everyone though. I'm pretty close to my siblings & we always have fun when we get together. My niece is making a very big curry for us all & wanted me to bring dessert so I'll probably make a trifle & bake a cake. I don't spend a great deal of time in the kitchen, but do enjoy it when I have a dabble! ;o)

You're getting your hair cut and I'm getting mine coloured, one of these ones where you put the colour in and then add the highlights - Mum will help me with it next week when I'm there. It's half term here next week, so I thought I'd take my little girl to see her Grandparents for a few days, we've not seen them since Christmas.
