Whoopeeeee!

Yippee!!! I'm in a dancing kind of mood as I have finally finished Celtic Spring! :o))))) The final beads went on yesterday evening. I've got plenty of L&L designs in my stash but had never stitched any before. This was the first L&L design I saw, around 5 years ago, I fell instantly in love with it & knew I would have to stitch her one day so here I am. I used Sugar Maple Fabric's Maypole Belfast linen. It looks a little vibrant in the photo, but it's a really dull day here today & even with the flash on my camera, that is the best I can do. IRL it's very pretty lilacs & creams. I stitched her skin over one & apart from that didn't make any other changes. Now that my Spring maiden is complete I shall pick up Mabel & try to finish her before the end of Finish It February! ;o) I only celebrated 2 HDs last year, so want to vastly improve on that this year.

I had my hair cut last night & my niece took her fantastic straightening irons to it, so it looks fabulous, sleek & glossy right now. I'm hoping I can hold off washing it for a couple of days to enjoy it whilst it lasts, as once I put water anywhere near it, my hair will do instant frizz! :o( Andy wanted to take my photo for me to put on here, but I said that there was no way until I had put my make up on!!! I am soooo one of those women that can't set foot outside the door without a 'bit of slap' on, though he thinks I look lovely without it the little sweetie :o)

Talking of my little sweetie... he said something that really made me giggle yesterday whilst I was finishing my beading on CS. I'd been sat there for a couple of hours with my floor frame, my Tacky Bob and my needle & thread, when he came over to take an interest in what I was doing. "Do you glue the beads on?" he enquired. "Er, no..." I replied, "...that's what the needle & thread is for!" LOLOL. Imagine if we did actually glue all those beads on - I would get into such a mess! Tee hee.

She looks beautiful Sam. I really love this piece. The colours are so lovely. I have a piece of Maypole on lugana, and the difference in colour, even taking into account the dull day, is amazing! :)
