Good times...

Well, I've been off & away & had a great bank holiday weekend. I went to stay with one of my best friends who is the recipient of my disappointingly framed cross stitch. She was delighted! So I am now feeling ok about it, even if its not up to my standards ;o) Over the weekend we went with her family to a local airshow which was great, although the weather was VERY windy meaning we had to hang onto our picnic with all our might! The planes were very impressive. The parachutists couldn't jump as the conditions were so bad, but the wing walkers did do their stuff. Eeee by gum - how they can stand on top of a plane, attached by a skimpy harness & do a loop the loop I'll never know!

The prospects for this coming weekend are also good, as my other stitchy friend has decided that she and her teenage daughter are taking us up to Woburn to visit the (not so) LNS! Yay!!!! I'm very excited, although my credit card is not looking forward to all that exercise...! I think we'll also visit the famous abbey to dabble in our other favourite past-time - photography. I love to snap buildings & landscapes. Portraits do nothing at all for me! Well, maybe its because I'm not that good at them :o) but they just don't inspire me the way a beautiful sunset or architecture from an unusual angle does. Don't get me wrong - there are some gorgeous portrait pictures out there, but they just don't do it for me. Ooooh.... I'm going to be wishing this week away now!

Oh lucky you... a trip to the LNS! Hopefully you'll see lots of great stuff and give your credit card a good workout. You have to make the trip worth it :)

Have fun snapping some pics while you're there too...sounds like a great place to visit.
