Happy New Year!

Well, here at last is my first entry of 2005. So first of all - a Happy New Year to everyone! Since I last blogged I have started & participated in my first SAL of the year - Dracolair Dragons with Gill & Amy. I have a feeling that we may get a few other joiners next month! I really enjoyed working on my lil draggie. I have added a link to the sidebar so you can see what I've been up to ;o) He is stitched on Sugar Maple Fabric's Shimmering Aphrodite opal Jazlyn fabric & I think the colours are going to work really well on it. I felt sad to put him away in a drawer after stitching on him for just a few days - its the first time that I've joined in a SAL where I'm stitching on the project for just the SAL days only, so this is new to me! Oooh er.... I'll be starting a rotation next & then where will we be?!! Lol. ;o)

Its the International Mirabilia SAL this weekend and I thought about starting a new project, but have decided to plough on with Royal Holiday instead. I really would like to get her finished. I've finished her dress, so its just the cloak & some Wisper to do, plus the beads of course.... but that sure is one big cloak! I will add my weekend's progress once I'm done.

There are so many stitchy things I'd like to do this year. As you know, Nora Corbett is my favourite designer & I've got lots of Mirabilias in my stash, so I'd really like to get a couple of what I call 'classics' stitched this year - Middy & Titania. I have the perfect fabric for Middy, so considered starting her for the SAL, but if I have Royal Holiday finished by the next one I shall start her then. Titania I'm not so sure about, I am planning on adding a bit of purple/lilac to her, probably wings/sash, that sort of thing & I've seen lots of fabrics that are *nice*, but I haven't found the perfect one just yet. I've just ordered a few pieces of Sugar Maple Fabric, so maybe it'll be one of those! So many other stitchers have stitched these designs, it really is about time I did them as well!!!

I'm off to the cinema tomorrow with my best friend. We're going to see National Treasure.... and have some nice cinema munchies too!!! Have a great weekend everyone!

I know exactly what you mean about stitching Titania and Middy, it seems you can't be a *real* Nora fan if you haven't stitched them yet! I haven't stitched them either but they're sitting in my stash (Titania is kitted).

I decided to bring out a Mira UFO for the SAL. Maybe if I work on it each month it will motivate me.
